About the role
- Manage diverse tasks for a variety of clients with the support of a knowledgeable team.
- Ensure accurate, timely payroll, efficient processes, and well-trained payroll consultants to give clients the best possible service.
- Respond to payroll-related questions from employees at a variety of clients and own employees.
- Interact with 401k and benefit providers.
- Keep the rest of the Payroll Group on track.
- Pull reports for a client’s accounting team.
Requirements
- Proven experience (8 – 10 years minimum) managing multiple clients and processing numerous payrolls each week in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ideal if you’ve worked successfully in a payroll leadership and also a consulting role in the past.
- A keen eye for detail and organization is one of your many superpowers.
- Ability to prioritize your workload and that of your team in a proactive, organized way.
- A phenomenal communicator; Overcommunication? No. Such. Thing!
- You excel at both verbal and written communication.
- You are the Sherlock Holmes of payroll – naturally curious and a mystery solver.
- Benefits, 401k reporting, and multi-state payroll experience.
- Comfortable enough with California’s wage and hour compliance requirements to answer some compliance-related questions.
- Familiar with an array of software platforms such as Paychex, Paylocity, Gusto and Rippling.
