About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and troubleshoot broadcast and IT systems, including studio and control room automation, newsroom systems, cameras, audio equipment, and streaming encoders
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IP-based networking for servers and broadcast infrastructure
Diagnose signal flow and data flow issues using schematics and system documentation
Support remote broadcast feeds and streaming workflows
Collaborate with engineering staff to prioritize tasks and meet operational deadlines
Perform preventative maintenance on electronic and mechanical equipment
Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for all systems and equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong ability to diagnose, research, and resolve issues within IP-based broadcast systems
Working knowledge of newsroom and production environments
Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple markets (Elmira and Binghamton)
Strong organizational, delegation, and collaboration skills
Ability to interpret technical schematics and system diagrams
Proactive approach to preventative maintenance and system reliability
