About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute strategic business development plans targeting large commercial clients, marquee accounts, and Fortune 500 companies
- Build and maintain long-term, executive-level relationships with senior decision-makers
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, major partnerships, and multi-year high-value contracts
- Lead high-level negotiations and establish national account agreements, including master service agreements and memorandums of understanding
- Advise on major construction projects and provide tailored solutions aligned with Nexii’s products, capabilities, and value proposition
- Monitor industry trends, market shifts, and competitive activity to refine strategic planning and revenue-growth initiatives
- Design, recommend, and implement marquee relationship programs
- Deliver business reviews, trend analyses, revenue forecasts, and relationship-focused reporting
- Collaborate with design, project management, operations, and technology partnerships teams
- Manage key internal and external relationships to ensure a consistent client experience
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to support team development
- Communicate strategies across internal and external stakeholders
- Develop proposals, deliver presentations, and secure agreement on terms and deliverables
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or strategic partnerships within construction or building materials
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials procurement, and sustainable building practices
- Familiarity with sustainable building technologies and frameworks, such as LEED
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills
- Demonstrated success closing large-scale deals with Fortune 500 companies and major commercial developers
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred
- Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools preferred
- Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green building technologies preferred
