About the role
- Design and develop backend services for a new cybersecurity product
- Build scalable microservices and APIs from scratch
- Take full ownership of features from early requirements to production delivery
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams
- Work on integrations with third-party systems and service providers
- Contribute to cloud architecture and infrastructure decisions
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable Python code
- Ensure high performance, availability, and reliability of backend systems
- Proactively communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions
- Participate in architecture, code, and operational reviews
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on backend development experience
- 3–4+ years of strong Python experience (Django / FastAPI / SQLAlchemy is a plus)
- Proven experience designing and implementing robust, scalable production systems
- Strong proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, VectorDB)
- Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Hands-on experience building services and systems from scratch
- Experience with cloud architecture and managed services (SQS, SNS, EKS, S3, SES, etc.)
- Ability to manage requirements and deliver features end to end
- Upper-Intermediate English with strong verbal communication skills
