About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research specialist industries and speak with senior professionals about market trends, developments and innovations.
- Develop and refine award categories, judging criteria and entry guidelines.
- Identify and recruit industry experts and senior executives for judging panels.
- Build relationships with judges and manage the process from nominations through shortlist and winner selection.
- Drive high-quality nominations through research, direct outreach and engagement.
- Work with Marketing and Editorial teams to promote awards and build industry profile.
- Manage multiple awards projects, deadlines, milestones and stakeholders.
- Work with the Events team on ceremony content, including scripts, presentations, winner information and running order.
- Attend and support awards ceremonies in the UK and internationally.
- Produce awards programmes from initial research and development through nominations, judging and the final ceremony.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a graduate.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn unfamiliar subjects and industries.
- Ability to research, ask questions and understand complex topics.
- Confidence speaking by phone with new contacts.
- Ability to communicate professionally and build relationships with senior people.
- Exceptional organisation and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with colleagues.
- Ability to adapt when priorities change and deadlines become tight.
- Commercial awareness and interest in successful products or events.
- Ability to collaborate across different business areas.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Experience or interest in B2B events, publishing, awards, conferences or project management is useful but not essential.
- Experience communicating with senior professionals or clients is advantageous.
- Interest in insurance, intellectual property, life sciences, legal, financial or professional services is advantageous.
- Experience with CRM, project management or awards platforms such as Evessio is advantageous.
- Strong copywriting skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly is advantageous.
