About the role
- Develop and execute sales strategies that drive delegate attendance and maximise revenue.
- Lead, motivate, and coach the delegate sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Set Goals, OKRs and KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and development support.
- Personally engage with senior prospects to secure high-value and multi-event bookings.
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and corporate group packages.
- Partner with marketing, sponsorship, and event production teams to align outreach and messaging.
- Represent Newton Media at events and industry gatherings, building long-term relationships with senior professionals.
- Analyse sales data, monitor pipeline health, and provide clear reports and insights to senior leadership.
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in delegate sales for B2B conferences or events, with a record of exceeding targets.
- Minimum of 18 months experience managing or mentoring a sales team to strong performance, running 25-30+ events per year.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills - especially with senior executives.
- A consultative, relationship-driven sales style.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems such as ConstantContact, Salesforce or HubSpot.
- A positive, proactive, and results-focused mindset.
- Experience in the insurance, finance and intellectual property sectors would be a bonus.
