About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Attend 1 day per week of briefed capture
Shoot short-form video content primarily for TikTok and Instagram Reels
Produce stills alongside video where needed
Work from creative briefs issued by the NewGen team
Deliver raw and lightly-edited footage to NewGen within 48 hours
Contribute reactive or seasonal content ideas when relevant moments arise
Attend a weekly 30-minute alignment call with the NewGen team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Based in Los Angeles or surrounding area
Strong, demonstrable track record of creating short-form social video content
Genuine understanding of what makes content perform natively on platform
A feel for California lifestyle content
Experience shooting food, restaurant, or lifestyle content
Comfortable operating independently on shoot days with minimal on-site direction
Reliable, communicative, and professional.
Existing knowledge of or genuine connection to California food, lifestyle, or culture content
Some experience working with or alongside brand teams or agencies
Basic proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Rush, or equivalent mobile/light editing tools
A personal social presence that demonstrates your aesthetic sensibility.
Own equipment - setup that spans mobile through to a high-quality DSLR or mirrorless camera.
