About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the top-tier sponsored event portfolio end-to-end: evaluate opportunities against a demand-generation and pipeline bar, negotiate sponsorships, define the engagement strategy, and personally lead the biggest moments on the ground
- Design and launch new proprietary Bluehost branded events (demand gen and community events, roadshows, agency programs, executive series, hosted meetups) and building the demand-generation playbook
- Own the lead-generation motion at every event: capture strategy, scanner and form setup, sales handoff, MQL and SQL definition, and post-event nurture in partnership with marketing operations
- Build the framework for testing into new and emerging verticals: run fast, low-cost event pilots in new product-market bets, evaluate lead-quality and pipeline signal, and scale investment where a vertical starts working
- Partner closely with the internal and external teams to ensure that segments plan plug cleanly into the broader event calendar; own the seams so nothing falls between programs
- Run on-site production for major moments: booth design, run-of-show, staffing, partner activations, executive experiences, and post-event follow-through
- Set the demand-generation and ROI bar for the in-person event program: cost per lead, MQL contribution, and sourced or influenced pipeline; own the metrics conversation with leadership
- Build and manage the vendor bench: booth builders, event producers, AV and creative partners
- Represent the field team in cross-functional planning with sales, demand generation, product marketing, and partnerships
- Travel domestically as the event calendar requires
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-6 years in event marketing, field marketing, or event management, with clear ownership of programs (not just execution support)
- Hands-on ownership of a full sponsored event portfolio or a large signature event, end-to-end.
- Track record of driving measurable demand-generation and pipeline outcomes from events: leads captured, MQLs generated, sourced or influenced pipeline
- Experience designing and producing proprietary or owned events, not only booth execution at third-party shows
- Strong on-site production instincts: booth logistics, run-of-show, staffing, day-of troubleshooting
- Sharp negotiation and vendor management chops; comfortable driving contracts through legal and procurement
- Comfort partnering with sales and demand-generation teams on lead handoff, qualification, and pipeline reporting
- Self-directed and comfortable operating alongside a contractor peer on a growing team
- Willing and able to travel heavily (domestic US)
