About the role

  • Manages and provides leadership for the delivery of highly complex projects, including those involving AI and machine learning technologies
  • Able to manage multiple large to medium size projects simultaneously
  • As part of the IT PMO Team, you will play a key role in providing support, guidance and input on the project management processes, standards, deliverables and operational cadence necessary to ensure consistent project execution
  • Identify project management coordination process gaps or areas for improvement and implement solutions, particularly in the context of AI-driven projects
  • Work with the project teams to develop the scope, schedule, and conditions of satisfaction for a project, while scheduling resources, monitoring task completion, serving as the day-to-day point of contact for business stakeholders
  • Provide leadership to both the IT and business organizations to ensure that the appropriate processes are followed, and deliverables produced
  • Provide guidance to project teams on risk mitigation . This includes identification of risks and impacts , communication to the stakeholders on the tradeoffs to drive quick decisions to keep the project moving forward.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations to ensure the project delivers the agreed upon scope within its budget and time constraints, and stakeholders are informed of progress and issues
  • May directly oversee employees assigned to manage specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end and play a role coaching and mentoring team members
  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed of progress and issues
  • Manage project scope and deliverables through change management process to ensure customer expectations are met

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technology or business-related field (required)
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience managing medium to high complex IT projects with AI and machine learning technologies
  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills
  • Proven Leadership and effective decision-making capabilities
  • Experience with supporting, leading and managing IT teams
  • Proven project management experience managing multiple projects in complex environments
  • Ability to monitor and manage critical path elements of consolidated projects
  • Vendor implementation experience
  • Knowledge of PMI project management standards and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) or equivalent methodology
  • PMP Certification, preferred
