About the role
- Define, own, and architect the company-wide data strategy, infrastructure, and operationalization
- Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of high-impact data initiatives
- Enable decision science at scale: predictive modeling, experimentation, churn analysis, LTV modeling, and personalization strategies
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Operations to translate business priorities into actionable data initiatives
- Establish and enforce data governance, quality, security, and compliance policies
- Communicate insights, trade-offs, and strategic recommendations effectively to executive leadership
- Mentor senior individual contributors and managers
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or analytics
- Proven experience with high-volume consumer and SMB datasets
- Strong technical foundation in data infrastructure, pipelines, cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, etc.), ETL/ELT, orchestration (Airflow, DBT), warehouses/lakes, and decision science / predictive modeling
- Hands-on understanding of statistics, ML, algorithms, linear algebra, optimization, and experimentation frameworks
- Ability to bridge technical execution and business strategy
- Excellent communicator, capable of presenting technical strategies and insights to executives
- Ambitious, self-driven, and hungry to define the future of data at a large-scale hosting organization.
