About the role

  • Define the strategy and be hands-on with the initial deliverables.
  • Help drive the narrative of our software releases to help both our internal and external customers understand what is new and why it matters.
  • Lay the groundwork for our documentation strategy, identifying the right 'quick wins' while building a roadmap for our next-gen documentation offering.
  • Evaluate and plan an 'in-app' offering for training materials to offer end users product information at the time of need.
  • Define the RACI as product communications and documentation functions evolve.
  • Build a measurement framework, including KPIs for product enablement content.
  • Create standards and define a governance process to keep materials up-to-date, retire stale content, standardize terminology, and enforce voice & tone across channels.
  • Own our monthly product release showcase series to help drive understanding of upcoming product features.
  • Create product communications and release notes for end users, client leadership, and internal audiences.
  • Manage and update user guides and documentation for standard product functionality, selecting effective presentation formats, evaluating content quality, and editing for style, layout, design, grammar, clarity, and readability.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure content reflects the latest functionality.
  • Lead the project management and execution of major communications and documentation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product content, product communications, technical writing, instructional design, knowledge management, or other related field, with 3+ years in managing at a project or program level.
  • A strong point of view on product content, communications, and documentation offerings at a SaaS company.
  • Solid writing skills, including the ability to research and document functionality and processes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills—able to explain complex topics clearly and confidently.
  • Ability to drive projects forward and navigate an ambiguous and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and technical concepts.
  • EST work hours required or ability to align with EST as standard.
