About the role

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports based on product requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, usability, exploratory, and cross-platform testing on web applications.
  • Conduct API testing, database validation, and backend/server behavior verification.
  • Validate bug fixes, ensure regression coverage, and maintain product stability across releases.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to review requirements and define acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and other agile ceremonies.
  • Align with developers during sprints to ensure adequate test coverage and fast feedback loops.
  • Review and refine test strategies to optimize test coverage and quality.
  • Contribute to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new tools, techniques, or approaches to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current with industry trends and evolving QA methodologies.
  • Mentor and support other QA engineers to ensure consistency and quality across teams.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to team growth and development.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced Agile environment while maintaining a strong focus on quality.
  • Promote a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on testing experience in testing of web applications, preferably in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience in fast-paced development cycles with short iterations and frequent releases.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing life cycles, and formal testing processes.
  • Proficient in writing test matrices, test plans, test cases, and test reports that are traceable to requirements.
  • Expertise in functional testing, API testing, and database validation.
  • Experience using debugging and network tools such as Charles Proxy, Fiddler, Postman, Wireshark, or equivalent.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement new testing tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Analyze server logs and system behavior to identify issues and root causes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
  • Experience mentoring peers and junior QA engineers, and contributing to QA strategy and team development.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence quality initiatives and advocate for process improvement.
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset with strong initiative and leadership qualities
