About the role
- Primary responsibility for supporting the launch and development process of new products by providing quality engineering expertise while working with the USA quality engineer and the supplier.
- Assessment of project risks and areas where a supplier requires assistance and training to ensure a successful design and launch.
- Recommend design changes to the design team or process changes to the supplier to ensure quality level requirements are met and product performance expectations achieved.
- Onsite review of quality plans and development of plans as needed with the supplier.
- Support of the new product launch team when they visit the Asia suppliers.
- Support the supplier selection and approval process by performing factory assessments.
- Support the ongoing monitoring and improvement of supplier quality systems by performing quality system assessments according to plan.
- Facilitation of supplier corrective action activity required as a result of product audits, customer audits, or field issues. Must lead the supplier through the process of problem definition, root cause analysis, solution finding, implementation, and verification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Safety, Regulatory Affairs, or closely related field required
- 3+ years of experience within quality, supply chain, manufacturing and/or related field.
- Can communicate in both English and local language.
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI etc.).
- Process oriented, Continuous Improvement
- Organizational, analytical and process efficiency skills
- 7 Quality tools, DOE, SPC.
- Advanced Quality Planning tools.
