About the role

  • Manage and undertake internal audit reviews, working closely with an Internal Audit Manager to ensure reviews are risk-based and add value
  • Deliver end to end audits including communicating observations, agreeing actions, and producing impactful, high quality reporting
  • Lead a portfolio of audits with a focus on finance and prudential risk while contributing to wider Group reviews
  • Update audit focus based on changes and awareness of risk issues across business areas
  • Assist in embedding the use of data analytics and agile ways of working as part of core audit delivery
  • Build trusting and open relationships with colleagues across the business and with external stakeholders
  • Maintain continual professional development with regard to internal audit, industry and regulatory requirements
  • Report to an Internal Audit Manager and collaborate with senior internal auditors to deliver the Group internal audit plan

Requirements

  • Experienced auditor (external audit experience welcome)
  • Credible and influential; confident working with and influencing people at all levels
  • Proven track record for developing positive working relationships
  • First class communication and report writing skills
  • Ideally experience of working with data analytics
  • Experience with agile practices in an internal audit setting preferred
  • Qualified audit professional advantageous (e.g., ACA, IIA, CISA)
  • Awareness of risk issues and regulatory requirements
  • Drive and desire to build on existing experience or grow quickly into the role
