Key responsibilities & impact

Live on a floor in an undergraduate academic center and serve as a role model, peer counselor, resource and referral person, advocate, policy enforcer, programmer and leader for a diverse group of U.S. and international students
Assist in the development of community and facilitate dialogues around intercultural topics
Engage students through various programming and foster a flourishing community conducive to academic and personal growth
Provide support in emergencies and times of personal stress, documenting and reporting incidents impacting the wellbeing of residents

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree
Enrolled in a Master’s program or Master’s degree preferred
0-1 year of residential life employment experience or equivalent combination required
Experience in community development activities, student programming or residential life experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multicultural environment
Must possess conflict resolution skills and the ability to work quickly and effectively when responding to emergency situations
