About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administers the functional execution of the NYU Leslie Entrepreneurial Institute's research-to-market initiatives.
  • Facilitates the professional delivery of programs designed to transition intellectual property developed by NYU faculty, PhD students, postdocs, and research staff into commercial ventures.
  • Orchestrates all phases of the program lifecycle, including the execution of application and selection processes.
  • Engages speakers and mentors and implements founder onboarding and success frameworks.
  • Supports members of the Institute team focused on engaging the founder community and connecting academic researchers with the Institute's entrepreneurial resources.
  • Manages functional workflow improvements and ensures the integrity of the Institute's data collection and reporting processes.
  • Supports student-facing programs and initiatives as needed for the success of the Institute's mission.
  • Reports directly to the Associate Director of the NYU Leslie Entrepreneurial Institute.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years Relevant experience in project management, communications, events management, and/or community management.
  • Experience planning and implementing administrative activities and event planning on a budget.
  • Experience with data collection, management and analysis.
  • 2+ years Experience working in customer success and/or community management (preferred).
  • Prior experience working on a startup (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, organization, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage program logistics, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, communications and productivity tools.
  • Strong data analysis, and database management skills.
  • Ability to track and project manage an event budget.
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic, with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.
  • Strong team player and willingness to jump in to support colleagues.
