About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership and operational management for the University’s on-premises infrastructure
Oversee the specialized teams dedicated to Hardware, Backup, Storage, and VMware virtualization
Ensure the high availability, security, and scalability of the private cloud environment
Manage the lifecycle of physical and virtual assets
Develop service-level agreements (SLAs) and align private cloud capabilities with hybrid cloud strategy
Responsible for professional development, resource allocation, and fostering a culture of technical excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
7+ years of relevant technical experience in infrastructure management
Minimum of 3 years of experience directly managing technical teams
Experience managing both full-time employees and contractor IT professionals
Specific operational knowledge of hardware platforms including Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge, and HP infrastructure
Advanced experience with Software-Defined Storage and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI)
Advanced knowledge of the VMware SDDC stack (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi)
Strong experience managing the lifecycle of Server Hardware and enterprise Backup products
