Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the strategy, operations, and advancement of the university’s Identity Governance Administration program
Lead a team of technical professionals managing NYU’s identity lifecycle processes and access governance practices
Ensure that identity governance supports secure, efficient, and compliant access to NYU systems
Contribute to university‑wide technology initiatives and strengthen NYU’s overall security posture
Ensure that identity processes align with institutional goals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field
7+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience designing and implementing complex systems
Knowledge of Internet technologies, applications, database services, programming languages and operating systems
Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to guide technical teams and influence decision‑making
Expertise in identity governance, access management, and information security principles
Significant experience managing or leading Identity and Access Management programs
Hands‑on experience with SailPoint or comparable identity governance platforms
Proven background in quality assurance and testing methodologies
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and supporting enterprise‑level technology initiatives
