About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Execute on NYPA’s strategic vision
Oversee the execution of projects located within one or more program portfolios to ensure projects comply with approved scope, cost, and schedule objectives
Ensure projects and programs within the portfolio(s) are managed in compliance with appropriate department and company policies and procedures
Manage, facilitate and drive collaboration between all stakeholders and resources in activities related to all phases of projects in assigned portfolios and programs
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering
Master of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering or Master of Business Administration preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project / Construction Management
New York State Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within 2 years preferred (Customer) / required (Utility)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, managing teams, direct staff and/or contractors required
