About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full product lifecycle for an assigned cluster of data and AI products
- Lead continuous discovery through problem framing, assumption mapping, user interviews, and rapid validation
- Reduce risk across value, usability, feasibility, and viability before engineering investment
- Engage business users to uncover unmet needs, workflow friction, and high-value opportunities
- Translate ambiguous business problems into testable product hypotheses
- Validate concepts using prototypes, storyboards, or data experiments
- Own and maintain the product roadmap and living backlog
- Prioritize quick wins, strategic investments, and technical debt using user, data, and business evidence
- Define and communicate outcome-focused product goals aligned with strategic objectives
- Author product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Delivery Management, Analytics Engineering, and Data Science throughout delivery
- Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Track progress, surface risks, communicate status, and validate delivered features before release
- Lead discovery and requirements definition for AI and machine learning features
- Define human-in-the-loop requirements, explainability expectations, and trust signals
- Design for AI-specific risks including bias, uncertainty, over-reliance, and failure modes
- Define success metrics and KPIs before development
- Partner with Analytics Engineers to instrument features, build dashboards, and monitor adoption
- Conduct post-go-live analyses and independently investigate product performance
- Build stakeholder relationships across divisions and communicate decisions, trade-offs, and outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences
- Represent user needs in cross-functional discussions, including with senior leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of product management experience in a technology, data, or digital product environment
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end product discovery and delivery, not just backlog management
- Hands-on experience defining and measuring product KPIs, including working directly with data to assess product performance
- Proficiency in data analysis to validate assumptions and investigate product questions
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with cross-functional delivery teams
- Experience with modern product tools: Azure DevOps, Confluence, Figma, or equivalent
- Exposure to AI/ML product development, including model lifecycle, data dependencies, and user trust considerations
- Knowledge of continuous discovery, outcome-driven roadmaps, assumption testing, and lean experimentation
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery practices
- Knowledge of relational data models, SQL, dimensional warehousing, and analytics platform concepts
- Knowledge of AI/ML product development, human-in-the-loop design, model evaluation, and responsible AI principles
- Knowledge of healthcare or regulated industry context
- Knowledge of user research methods, including interviews, observation, usability testing, and synthesis techniques
- Cultural competency and ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and groups
- Ability to operate autonomously across multiple products and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to make sound product decisions with incomplete information
