Adjunct Instructor

• Teach assigned mathematics courses in accordance with approved course descriptions, student learning outcomes, departmental expectations, and College policies.
• Prepare and publish a complete course syllabus and instructional schedule before the course opens to students.
• Plan and deliver accurate, organized, and accessible instruction using examples, applications, guided practice, and appropriate mathematical technology.
• Meet all scheduled classes and maintain appropriate instructor availability through office hours, email, telephone, or other approved communication channels.
• Assess student learning frequently; provide constructive, encouraging, and corrective feedback; maintain accurate attendance, grade, and achievement records; and submit midterm and final grades by established deadlines.
• Use the College learning management system, calculators or mathematical software, and approved instructional technologies effectively for course delivery, communication, assessment, and recordkeeping.
• Participate in course and institutional assessment, including common assessment items, documentation of student-learning results, and continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with full-time mathematics faculty and academic leadership regarding course pacing, prerequisite alignment, enhanced/co-requisite support, and student success concerns.
• Maintain student confidentiality and comply with FERPA, accessibility requirements, nondiscrimination standards, copyright requirements, and all applicable College procedures.
• Complete required orientation, training, credentialing, and compliance activities and perform related duties as assigned.

Adjunct Instructor, Mathematics

• Prepare and publish a complete course syllabus and instructional schedule before the course opens to students.
• Develop organized, current, and accessible instructional materials that connect business theory with workplace, entrepreneurial, and community applications.
• Meet all scheduled classes and maintain appropriate instructor availability through office hours, email, telephone, or other approved communication channels.
• Assess student learning using valid and transparent methods; provide constructive feedback; maintain accurate attendance, grade, and achievement records; and submit midterm and final grades by established deadlines.
• Use the College learning management system and approved instructional technologies effectively for course delivery, communication, assessment, and recordkeeping.
• Participate in course, program, and institutional assessment activities, including common assessments and submission of required results.
• Maintain student confidentiality and comply with FERPA, accessibility requirements, nondiscrimination standards, copyright requirements, and all applicable College procedures.
• Collaborate professionally with faculty, staff, program leadership, and community or industry partners as appropriate to the assignment.
• Complete required orientation, training, credentialing, and compliance activities and perform related duties as assigned.

Adjunct Instructor, Business

General

• Teach a full instructional load each semester
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
• Maintain FAA compliance and training standards
• Deliver engaging classroom lectures using FAA-approved lesson plans
• Supervise and assess hands-on shop and laboratory activities
• Foster an inclusive and effective learning environment for diverse learners
• Ensure students meet program competencies and safety standards
• Oversee shop projects, tools, training equipment, and inventory
• Maintain clean, safe, and FAA-compliant instructional facilities
• Submit accurate grades and attendance records in a timely manner
• Adhere to all FAA Part 147 regulations
• Participate in faculty meetings, commencements, and college committees
• Support Program Director responsibilities as needed
• Complete required compliance and safety training
• Engage in ongoing professional development and industry affiliations
• Follow all federal, state, and local laws and college policies
• Adhere to WV State Ethics Acts
• Follow purchasing and financial accountability procedures
• Uphold all safety protocols and reporting requirements
