About the role
- Manage US federal and state income tax compliance, estimates and extensions, and remit payments
- Collaborate with international tax firms to oversee global tax matters and provide strategic planning and guidance
- Prepare and/or review indirect tax filings (VAT, GST, sales and use tax, property tax)
- Manage and facilitate tax inquiries and audits
- Maintain a global tax calendar to track deadlines and ensure timely compliance
- Manage US GAAP income tax provision preparation under ASC 740 with third party service provider, including supporting workpapers and schedules
- Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation and advise on impact
- Work collaboratively with other departments and jurisdictions on tax matters
- Support process improvement initiatives for income tax workflows
- Review computations and analyses for quarterly and annual financial tax provisions including permanent and temporary differences, R&D credit estimates, NOL utilization, and acquisition integration activity
- Research tax technical issues and remain current on U.S. and foreign tax law changes
- Assist with Pillar 2 tax compliance and calculations
- Respond to external auditors and notice assessments
- Perform transfer pricing activities including documentation and intercompany loan settlements
- Assist with tax planning initiatives and mentor team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- Graduate-level degree in accounting or taxation preferred
- CPA or advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of finance and/or accounting experience
- At least 3 years of dedicated tax experience
- 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
- Domestic income tax compliance experience required
- International tax compliance and statutory audit experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of tax principles and accounting principles
- Proficient in tax accounting concepts including ASC 740 and FIN 18
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and financial tools or database software
- Self-starter capable of managing projects independently
- Ability to mentor and develop team members
- Must reside in the Continental United States
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
- Occasional travel up to 10% to Corporate Accounting office
