About the role

  • Responsible for the overall clinical, operational, and fiscal management of NELC’s pharmacy services.
  • Ensures that the overall management of pharmacy services are aligned with the clinical, operational, and fiscal objectives of the company.
  • Guarantees that pharmacy services are provided in a professional, safe, and cost-effective manner.
  • Develops the annual department operating budgets with the assistance of the directors of pharmacy.
  • Setting performance metrics and evaluating the branches against these benchmarks.
  • Works with the directors of pharmacy to ensure compliance of the pharmacy department with TJC, State and Federal regulations.
  • Overseeing the adoption of new pharmacy technology and information systems for more efficient operations and better patient care.
  • Provides appropriate guidance and supervision of directors of pharmacy.
  • Actively participates in maintaining positive working relationships with key clinicians and administrators at member hospitals.

Requirements

  • Professional license required, (RPh)
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ management experience required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in home infusion preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Ability to define problems, collect / analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all customers and at all levels of the NELC organization verbally and in writing required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a part of a team required.
  • Dependability in attendance and job performance required.
  • Working / practical knowledge of microcomputer systems including patient documentation systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), automated pharmacy systems, and IV Laminar flow Hood preferred.
