About the role

  • New England Life Care (NELC) is a nonprofit home infusion therapy provider serving over 70 hospital systems in ME, NH and MA
  • Provides input on NELC projects, extracts data and compiles reports required for management and operations
  • Provides application support for EMR and Sage for ACS; researches and resolves user errors; acts as liaison with software vendors
  • Participates in testing, training, and implementation of software updates and new features/modules
  • Participates in evaluation and implementation of process improvements and new system features
  • Serves as member of Help Center team to research and resolve tickets
  • Works Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with predictable schedule
  • Remote role limited to Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire; not eligible for visa sponsorship

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology or related discipline and/or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3+ years’ experience as a business analyst (healthcare background preferred)
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Experience writing MSSQL queries
  • Experience writing end user reports using SAP Crystal Reports or equivalent report writing application
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security requirements
  • Working knowledge of federal/state fraud and abuse laws
  • Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record required
  • Experience with report writing and research tools (Crystal Reports, SQL Management Studio, MS Access)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology; CPT; ICD9; and HCPC coding preferred
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, research, and solve problems
