About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own AI-focused product initiatives from discovery through launch, working hand in hand with the engineering team
  • Identify and prioritize where AI can add meaningful value across freight workflows, building a clear roadmap of opportunities
  • Conduct and synthesize user research to surface high-value problems and validate where AI is the right solution
  • Define product requirements and success metrics for AI features, holding the team accountable to outcomes over outputs
  • Partner with engineering to translate complex logistics challenges into reliable, production-ready AI products
  • Contribute to the development of Nevoya's broader AI strategy as that function grows
  • Support the buildout of the product operations function, including release processes, feedback loops, and cross-functional rituals
  • Own voice-of-customer for the operators who live in the product, spending time close to real freight workflows before specing the tools and AI features that support them
  • Develop tooling and workflows that improve how AI products are evaluated, shipped, and monitored in production
  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth launches and strong adoption
  • Communicate product direction and tradeoffs clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 - 6 years of product experience with a focus on AI operations
  • Direct experience building, shipping, or operationalizing AI-powered products or workflows
  • Strong instincts for user research and the ability to translate customer insights into clear product direction
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with engineering teams and lead product development end to end
  • Ability to go down to the operating level, figure problems, build solutions that meet business goals working with operations, dispatch, drivers, and leadership (a not taks is too small for me mentality)
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of bringing structure to early-stage or scaling product environments
  • Strong systems thinking, including comfort designing around a single source of truth and event-driven workflows, and reasoning clearly about what breaks at scale
  • A demonstrated ability to be a neutral arbiter across competing stakeholders and still ship a coherent roadmap
  • Data fluency, including the ability to define metrics, interpret results, and make decisions grounded in evidence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders across functions
  • Genuine curiosity about how emerging AI capabilities can be applied to real-world logistics problems.
