About the role
- Develops, implements, and monitors contracts on behalf of the AOC and the Supreme Court, including contracts finalized through the RFP and RFQ process.
- Performs the full range of duties related to the application for and administration of grants for the Judicial Branch.
- Manages the life cycle of grants and contracts and proactively tracks and monitors renewal deadlines, ensuring timely review, extensions, and re-solicitations.
- Collaborates closely with Accounting, outside legal counsel, program staff, and vendors to drive efficiency, compliance, and innovation across court operations.
- Leads the development and release of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other solicitations and assists RFP review committees with vendor selection evaluations and documentation.
- Drafts and finalizes contracts in partnership with applicable Court staff, Accounting, and outside legal counsel and engages vendors to manage contractor relationships.
- Monitors contract expenditures, compliance, and renewal/termination deadlines.
- Supports biennial budget preparation for grants, leases, and contractual agreements.
- Develops, implements, and assesses grant-in-aid projects/programs; provides technical assistance to recipients.
- Prepares and submits federal grant applications, including financial and statistical reporting, and reviews audits, financial statements, and expenditure tracking to ensure grant compliance.
Requirements
- Experience in contract management, including developing, issuing, and managing RFPs/RFQs.
- Grant administration expertise with a focus on compliance and fiscal oversight.
- Budgeting or fiscal management experience and strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of contract law, grant regulations, and government or judicial processes.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field preferred.
- Professional certifications in Contract or Grant Management are a plus.
- Effectively works remotely and collaborates with employees from a remote location, as needed.
- Expertise in virtual meeting platforms, such as Teams.
- Ability to work remotely via an internet network connection provided by the employee with minimum 50-100 mb download speeds required; higher if shared.
