Senior Fleet Manager
Network ConnexSenior Fleet Manager overseeing fleet strategy and transportation operations at Network Connex. Responsible for compliance, financial performance, and operational readiness.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and performance of the company’s fleet and transportation operations across multiple Network Connex locations
- Own fleet strategy, asset lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization
- Partner closely with Operations, Safety (TSQ), Human Resources (HR), Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure fleet decisions support business growth, safety, and financial objectives
- Develop and manage fleet operating and capital budgets, ensuring cost discipline and transparency
- Serve as the organization’s fleet compliance authority, ensuring adherence to DOT, FMCSA, CDL, and related regulatory requirements
- Establish and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize uptime, safety, and asset longevity
- Lead, mentor, and develop fleet personnel, setting expectations and performance standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience leading fleet and transportation operations across multiple locations
- Advanced knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, CDL, and fleet compliance requirements
- Proven experience managing fleet budgets, vendor contracts, and large asset portfolios
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into strategy
- High level of proficiency with fleet management systems, telematics platforms, and Microsoft Office tools
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and operate effectively at both operational and executive levels
- Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with telematics platforms such as GeoTab and Samsara
- Prior use of enterprise fleet management systems including Element, Fleetio, Merchants, or Holman Insights
- Background in fleet audits, regulatory inspections, safety programs, and emergency response management
- Experience supporting growth, integration, or standardization across decentralized or multi-region fleets
