About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise and support customers in the design, implementation and ongoing development of CMDB and CSDM solutions
- Take on a central functional and technical consulting role
- Develop scalable, CSDM 5-compliant data models and CMDB architectures for complex enterprise environments
- Design and establish sustainable CMDB governance
- Define standards for data quality, ownership, lifecycle and responsibilities
- Advise on and support the use of ITOM Discovery, Agent Client Collector (ACC) and Service Mapping
- Ensure reliable and automated population of the CMDB
- Analyze existing CMDB structures and identify optimization opportunities
- Develop CSDM and CMDB roadmaps together with customers
- Design and facilitate workshops with C-level stakeholders, service owners, enterprise architects and technical teams
- Translate diverse requirements into viable solutions
- Act as a subject-matter and technical sparring partner for architecture and governance decisions
- Ensure the sustainable implementation of ServiceNow best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of professional experience with ServiceNow
- Successfully supported and implemented multiple CMDB and CSDM rollouts
- Very good and up-to-date knowledge of CSDM 5
- Deep understanding of the ServiceNow CMDB and its data models
- Solid hands-on experience with ITOM Discovery, Agent Client Collector (ACC) and Service Mapping
- Knowledge of CMDB governance, data modeling, data quality, ownership and lifecycle management
- Experience with complex enterprise ServiceNow environments with more than 100,000 Configuration Items (CIs)
- Extensive experience designing and facilitating customer and architecture workshops
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Confident interaction with C-level executives, service owners and technical teams
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
- Relevant CIS certifications, e.g. CIS Discovery/Service Mapping, CIS Data Foundations, or equivalent ServiceNow certifications
- Structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Strong consulting skills and a high level of technical and architectural understanding
