About the role

Use expertise in full-stack development (TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, and React) to ship reliable, scalable, performant code across the product suite
Lead medium-sized projects from conception to delivery, writing RFCs and managing project timelines
Build and maintain user-facing features and product APIs that scale to serve millions of developers worldwide
Apply engineering practices: testing, documentation, observability, and performance optimization
Leverage AI tools pragmatically to enhance development workflows
Contribute to early-stage prototypes and production-ready applications impacting user experience and business metrics
Work with domains, DNS, and certificate management systems to ensure reliable and secure user experiences
Practice proactive async communication and document workflows and decisions clearly
Participate in code reviews, on-call rotations, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce technical debt
Collaborate regularly with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams to design and implement user flows that enhance the developer experience

Strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript
Proficiency with Go for backend services and API development
Hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development practices
Familiarity with domains, DNS, and certificate management
Background with Ruby and Rails is helpful (optional)
Extensive production experience delivering features and services that serve large user bases
Experience writing high-quality, testable, reliable, and maintainable code
Comfortable using and experimenting with AI-assisted development tools
Experience contributing to open-source projects or working in public codebases (plus)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in asynchronous, remote-first environments
Critical thinking abilities and a solution-oriented approach to complex technical challenges
Collaborative approach to problem-solving and a growth mindset
Passion for working in a collaborative environment with diverse teams across distributed locations
