About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support CG and Generative AI experts in developing content for animated shorts and specials using a GenAI-native pipeline
  • Contribute to creating short stories in a fast-paced production environment
  • Support CG artists in creating shot-ready characters, props, and environments using generative tools and traditional DCCs
  • Build datasets of assets, images, and videos for training and fine-tuning generative image and video models
  • Use ComfyUI to generate concept frames, style frames, character explorations, and environment designs from scripts, outlines, or verbal direction
  • Test and evaluate generative tooling and emerging technologies
  • Test and expand hybrid GenAI/traditional workflows developed by artists and technology teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with ComfyUI and traditional 2D and/or 3D CG DCCs such as Photoshop, Maya, Houdini, Harmony, and/or Blender
  • Conceptual understanding of diffusion-based rendering and animation techniques
  • Experience creating animation assets and using image editing and masking techniques
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Passion for storytelling and animation, with a portfolio showcasing compelling narratives using AI tools
  • Excellence in storytelling, visual comedy, and innovative thinking
  • Strong understanding of leveraging generative AI tools for creative storytelling
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools and quickly pivot in a fast-moving field
  • High level of independence and initiative
  • Experience training image LoRAs, video LoRAs, and similar tools is a plus
