Develop and maintain data pipelines, tooling, and visualizations that make member insights widely available across the company
Identify, compute, and validate the appropriate data sources and metrics to measure success in a product area
Partner with data engineers to design and implement a data architecture that bridges across experimentation, analytics, and operational reporting
Partner with product managers and engineering to conduct forensic investigations into logging, including real-time monitoring of new features the team is launching to support live events
Proactively explore trends in member engagement to surface future opportunities
Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders
Coach partners to self-serve with existing tools, and evangelize for scaled approaches to expand data access and insights beyond our team

Requirements

Passion for using data to see Netflix from the eyes of our members
Exceptional communication with technical and non-technical audiences; highly effective at developing meaningful stakeholder relationships and deep domain expertise
Comfort with ambiguity; ability to thrive with minimal oversight and process
Highly fluent in SQL for working with big data; familiarity with dbt is a plus
Proficient with scripting languages such as Python
Experienced in engineering data pipelines and orchestrating workflows
Passion for exploring and improving technical datasets and logging
Familiarity with software engineering best practices (e.g. source control, code reviews, unit testing)
