Design and operate highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems for accurate billing
Own subscription management, invoice lifecycle, tax computation, gift cards, and discounts for Netflix’s 325M+ subscribers
Collaborate closely with product, finance, legal, and engineering partners
Build and modernize invoicing systems and real-time tax calculation platform

Requirements

Background and interest in building billing systems and/or tax platforms
Experience designing and developing highly reliable, fault-tolerant, scalable distributed systems in a cloud environment using Java, Spring Boot, or equivalent technologies
Experience with NoSQL and SQL multi-region databases such as Cassandra and Aurora Postgres
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Open-minded attitude valuing different perspectives
Ability to thrive in ambiguity, comfortable defining requirements with stakeholders and iterating
