About the role
- Partner with engineers across Netflix to build tools and infrastructure that enable fellow engineers to gather timely and actionable insights.
- Implement infrastructure and tools to enable visibility into the health of thousands of applications that power Netflix.
- Work on foundational services relied upon by 3500 engineers.
- Combine many observability signals into usable, actionable insights.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java or Scala, and comfortable working with Python.
- Strong background in at least one of the following: observability engineering or distributed systems.
- Implementing critical platform infrastructure services for large-scale systems.
- Confident leading operational improvements, support, automation, and ease of life enhancements.
- Nice to have: Experience working with product and design teams.
- Experience working in Observability domain.
- Exposure to frontend integrations and GraphQL.
- Past experience supporting the UI development of tools leveraging the backend systems.
- Experience working with Akka or Apache Pekko.
