About the role
- Lead the architecture and development of new Live product features for the Netflix Android app
- Write high-quality, testable, and performant code
- Drive UI engineering best practices and initiatives to enhance quality, performance, and developer productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product and design to define and deliver on the product vision
- Demonstrate strong project management and estimation skills to deliver high-impact work on schedule
- Communicate proactively and effectively with teammates and stakeholders
- Mentor and grow less-experienced Android engineers on the team
- Influence the technical roadmap and direction of the team
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience with Android development
- Deep knowledge of Android UI frameworks and best practices
- Expertise in Kotlin and Java
- Strong track record of leading projects and delivering results
- Excellent project management, estimation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Strong architecture and system design skills
- Passion for mentoring and growing less-experienced engineers
