Key responsibilities & impact

Provide Level 3 infrastructure improvements, designs, new installations, and implementations using best practices.
Work predominantly on NetApp storage and cloud products and services.
Support customers by responding to incidents and requests.
Perform problem management.
Deploy and administer NetApp storage.
Troubleshoot storage performance issues.
Perform firmware and operating system upgrades.
Use storage management tools including OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager, and Insight.
Manage backup integration with NetApp technologies.
Monitor, troubleshoot, administer, replicate, security-harden, and performance-tune storage environments.
Conduct infrastructure deployment and disaster recovery testing.
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide customer communication and documentation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; preferably 10 years.
Alternatively, 6 years of related experience with a master's degree; or a PhD with relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of professional education/training and applicable work experience.
Experience deploying and administering NetApp Storage, including CDOT.
Experience troubleshooting performance issues, performing firmware and operating system upgrades, and using OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager, and Insight.
Proficiency in NetApp Storage concepts and technologies including Snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, and SnapMirror.
Knowledge of storage monitoring, troubleshooting, administration, replication technologies, security hardening, and performance tuning.
Experience with automation tools such as NetApp Workflow Automation.
Understanding of infrastructure components including compute, virtualization, and networks.
Knowledge of NetApp/Cisco FlexPod, Cisco UCS, IBM BladeCenter, System X, VMware vSphere, Microsoft operating systems and applications, and Commvault.
Strong understanding of CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel switching, and networks.
Knowledge of ITIL methodologies, including change, incident, problem, and configuration management.
Working knowledge of monitoring platforms, WANs, SANs, backup, and disaster recovery platforms.
Experience in Linux system administration.
Strong customer communication and documentation skills.
Positive, proactive, team-oriented attitude with a flexible and innovative approach.
Experience with StorageGRID, E-Series, CVO, CVS, Cloud Backup, Cloud Secure, Cloud Sync, Cloud DataSense, or Amazon FSx for ONTAP highly regarded.
Basic PowerShell/Python scripting, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Windows Server, and related Microsoft technologies advantageous.
ITIL Fundamentals certification desirable.
