About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide post-sales technical expertise during installation, implementation, migration, and maintenance of company products
Implement detailed customer installation requirements
Ensure client needs are met and products/solutions function according to specification
Provide follow-up technical support to sales staff and customer personnel
Deploy post-sales hardware and software installations of medium to high complexity
Coordinate with senior customer representatives and Sales teams on daily tasks
Provide onsite and remote subject-matter expertise across NetApp, IT infrastructure, applications, and cloud services
Plan, design, implement, and document projects, including final “As-Built” documentation
Design and architect company-marketed solution sets and custom consulting solutions
Follow escalation guidelines during customer engagements
Complete assigned work effectively and efficiently
Serve as technical lead on large, complex projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experienced in designing and deploying NetApp storage technologies
Thorough understanding of infrastructure components including compute, virtualization, networks, operating systems, and user applications
Experience with NetApp architecture, HPE/DELL compute servers, VMware vSphere, AIX, Microsoft or Linux operating systems, and applications such as Veritas/Commvault
Experience with Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, or automation tools/technologies
Strong expertise in network design, implementation, troubleshooting, configuration, and performance tuning
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Broad exposure to technologies and concepts in distributed environments
Bachelor's Degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience required
At least 5 years' work experience
Prior SAN product knowledge and understanding required
At least 3 years' SAN storage deployment experience, including IBM, HPE, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, or HDS
Ability to coordinate with senior customer representatives and Sales teams
Ability to perform onsite and remote subject-matter-expert duties
Ability to perform as technical lead on large, complex projects
