Requirements
- Understanding the various teams within The Legal Department, their roles, and how they support the enterprise.
- Shadowing in-house counsel and legal professionals while gaining exposure to and participating in various legal projects and workstreams across the team, which may include, but is not limited to:
- Negotiating NDAs and technology contracts with opposing counsel
- Supporting various business units and advising on risk tolerance and interpreting contract terms
- Creating and managing templates that transactional attorneys use on a daily basis
- Interpreting contractual issues that arise throughout the summer
- Reviewing patent applications
- Assisting patent litigation
- Testing and implementing new tools and technologies within the department
- Any other special projects that may arise
