Requirements

Understanding the various teams within The Legal Department, their roles, and how they support the enterprise.
Shadowing in-house counsel and legal professionals while gaining exposure to and participating in various legal projects and workstreams across the team.
Negotiating NDAs and technology contracts with opposing counsel
Supporting various business units and advising on risk tolerance and interpreting contract terms
Creating and managing templates that transactional attorneys use on a daily basis
Interpreting contractual issues that arise throughout the summer
Reviewing patent applications
Assisting patent litigation
Testing and implementing new tools and technologies within the department
Any other special projects that may arise.
