About the role
- Schedule and lead meetings to surface issues, identify fixes and advance projects.
- Manage daily project goals and product schedules, adjusting expectations and setting priorities.
- Work with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to create and customize products.
- Write and capture user stories and user needs to communicate product objectives and requirements.
- Responsible for generating the stories and acceptance criteria that make up the feature backlog.
- Conducts story refinement/grooming sessions with development and QA to ensure consistent understanding of the requirements and gather estimates.
- Responsible for defining value for product deliverables and communicating to the team in a manner that sparks innovative thought.
- Understands the product strategy and product scope (roadmap).
- Order the items in the backlog to best achieve goals and missions as per priority from the Product Manager.
- Lead multi-day design sprints to identify potential challenges and opportunities for market and customer challenges.
- Accepts/rejects the delivered work from the development team within each Sprint.
- Communicate portfolio and project updates to managers & stakeholders.
- Work with peer Product Owners as applicable to manage cross-team dependencies and appropriate scheduling and prioritization of dependent work.
- Actively participate in daily scrum meetings, project status meetings, sprint planning for at least 2 Scrum teams.
- Continuously prioritize incoming business and customer requests for release planning.
- Develop product expertise for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop an understanding of the target market and user base and contribute to product decisions.
- Recommends additional products and capabilities to enhance and expand a product line to meet strategic business objectives.
- Triage and work with development teams to resolve product issues.
- Ensure documentation is updated and maintained.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2 – 4 years relevant experience; may have degree or equivalent.
- REQUIRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE: Tableau, Sisense or other business intelligence tool, Agile management tool (i.e., Jira, Aha and Wiki)
- Agile, Scaled Agile, or Scrum experience
