About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute detailed risk analysis and conduct valuation and pricing of commercial mortgages and fixed income products using DCF and market-based approaches.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports for annual client risk ratings and valuation summaries, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Drive sector expertise by conducting industry and market research, managing research databases, and responding directly to client investment and risk queries.
- Optimize operational processes by leading or assisting with software development, testing, and automation initiatives.
- Manage ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives, demonstrating ownership over complex tasks and deliverables.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum one (1) years of relevant experience in commercial real estate underwriting, valuation, or credit analysis.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, real estate, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate finance and underwriting principles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel to create comprehensive data analysis and presentations.
- Proactive and self-driven approach to work, demonstrating the ability to independently manage projects from inception to completion while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Highly results-driven with an unwavering attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all underwriting and finance activities.
- Enrollment or progress towards CFA and/or CBV designation will be considered an asset.
