About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure employee safety, product quality, asset performance, and achievement of the production plan
  • Participate in hiring, onboard new employees, manage performance, and implement corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant
  • Lead by example and foster a workplace culture that inspires and motivates associates
  • Implement people development plans and verify team competencies
  • Provide training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and hygiene practices
  • Enforce SOP, SSOP, GMP, environmental, hygiene, and safety compliance
  • Conduct sanitation audits, food safety checks, and product quality inspections
  • Coach employees using the NCE approach
  • Review daily target achievements and report deviations
  • Develop action plans addressing root causes of failures
  • Facilitate handoffs and communicate key information to peers, team members, and Production Management
  • Maintain continuous line controls and take corrective action
  • Manage employee and industrial relations for smooth factory operations
  • Ensure adequate skill distribution to achieve the production plan
  • Coordinate timely product launches
  • Coordinate with quality, engineering, and administration on facility maintenance
  • Review maintenance effectiveness and schedule maintenance and repairs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years related work experience in lieu of degree, preferred
  • 1–3 years of previous production supervisory experience
  • Ability to maintain a safe working environment through proper housekeeping and safety practices
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Basic understanding of warehousing concepts
  • Ability to build personal relationships based on trust, mutual respect, and open communication
  • Adaptability to varied task requirements, communication styles, changing priorities, and new responsibilities
  • Ability to facilitate group coaching sessions and share information with varied audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate individuals through mentoring and coaching
  • Ability to identify development needs and provide growth support
  • Highly developed organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to set effective and challenging objectives
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and root-cause troubleshooting skills
  • High energy level and excellent follow-up
  • ERP knowledge; SAP strongly preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, NT/XP/Vista versions
  • Ability to lift 15–20 lb. boxes repeatedly
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work weekends
