About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Performs routine testing of samples according to established procedures.
  • Capable of independently operating laboratory instruments based on appropriate procedures.
  • Prepares solutions, suspensions and media to perform essential laboratory tasks.
  • Records data, performs calculations, evaluates and reports results.
  • Follow all Data Integrity guidelines.
  • Follow Good Laboratory Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Prioritizes workload and meets scheduled timelines, including managing multiple priorities.
  • Informs supervisor of equipment and supply needs required to avoid delays in testing.
  • Practices safe handling of hazardous materials and waste using proper techniques.
  • Conducts laboratory investigations as needed, including assisting in evaluation of others work.
  • Trains other analysts on testing procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in chemistry preferred or Equivalent Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the food, pharmaceutical or supplement industry preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with capacity for working with and communicating data trends.
  • Proficiency with PC programs that are applicable to data generation and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills; including ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
