About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Performs routine testing of samples according to established procedures.
Capable of independently operating laboratory instruments based on appropriate procedures.
Prepares solutions, suspensions and media to perform essential laboratory tasks.
Records data, performs calculations, evaluates and reports results.
Follow all Data Integrity guidelines.
Follow Good Laboratory Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
Prioritizes workload and meets scheduled timelines, including managing multiple priorities.
Informs supervisor of equipment and supply needs required to avoid delays in testing.
Practices safe handling of hazardous materials and waste using proper techniques.
Conducts laboratory investigations as needed, including assisting in evaluation of others work.
Trains other analysts on testing procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. in chemistry preferred or Equivalent Experience
2+ years of experience in the food, pharmaceutical or supplement industry preferred
Strong analytical skills with capacity for working with and communicating data trends.
Proficiency with PC programs that are applicable to data generation and manipulation.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational skills; including ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
