About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You will support in the planning and organization of EU Public Affairs events such as conferences, policy breakfasts and other formats directed at EU stakeholders.
  • You will gain experience in drafting & design internal and external communication materials (e.g. newsletters, brochures, videos, presentations, infographics), and for social media advocacy purposes with a particular focus on LinkedIn.
  • You will support the liaison agencies, ensuring alignment with communication objectives and brand guidelines, across creative, content, and media workstreams.
  • You will monitor digital conversations in social media and online to identify and effectively drive policy conversations.
  • You will develop exposure to advocacy and European Affairs activities on the following topics: circular economy, regenerative agriculture, nutrition, supply chains & youth employment.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You preferably have an academic background in Communications, or a related field.
  • You are able to convincingly and fluently communicate in English, both orally and in writing (any other languages are a plus).
  • You have a good overall interest of EU Affairs and advocacy.
  • You have an energetic, creative and outward-looking personality and enjoy thinking “out of the box”!
  • You take ownership of your own tasks, maintain a structured and proactive approach, and are able to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • You are digitally-savvy and have an interest in working with digital and social media platforms, or working with media plans.
  • You are passionate and creative in the development of communications material (dynamic videos, GIFs, interactive infographics).
  • You have experience with Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and ideally some first touchpoints with Canva or Adobe creative software tools (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects).
  • You ideally have first experience with event management, thrive on project management and handling complex tasks.
