About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You will be responsible for assisting maintenance and upkeep of building facilities and site services.
- Responsible for coordinating the management of all necessary contractors to maintain functionality & compliance of different equipment.
- Work closely with the duty technicians and management team to ensure the completion of maintenance, closure of outstanding actions.
- Ensure the safe & correct management of contractors/visitors, upholding site safety & quality standards.
- Support the Industrial Services manager to develop and optimise maintenance strategies for all equipment, extraordinary maintenance plans and budget creation.
- Work proactively with management and project teams to identify opportunities for improvement in plant performance, process, and procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum NVQ Level 3 (Ideally HNC/ Level 4) or equivalent experience in an Engineering time served apprenticeship.
- Electrical competence is desirable.
- Be able to demonstrate skills in the management of 3rd party contractors.
- Possess a logical fault-finding approach to breakdowns.
- Be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency whilst never compromising safety or product quality.
- Experience in Industrial services systems and statutory compliance such as LOLER, PUWER, Legionella, PSSR etc.
- Capital investment projects management in food industry.
- Determination of methods to minimize the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E).
