About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You will be responsible for assisting maintenance and upkeep of building facilities and site services.
Responsible for coordinating the management of all necessary contractors to maintain functionality & compliance of different equipment.
Work closely with the duty technicians and management team to ensure the completion of maintenance, closure of outstanding actions.
Ensure the safe & correct management of contractors/visitors, upholding site safety & quality standards.
Support the Industrial Services manager to develop and optimise maintenance strategies for all equipment, extraordinary maintenance plans and budget creation.
Work proactively with management and project teams to identify opportunities for improvement in plant performance, process, and procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum NVQ Level 3 (Ideally HNC/ Level 4) or equivalent experience in an Engineering time served apprenticeship.
Electrical competence is desirable.
Be able to demonstrate skills in the management of 3rd party contractors.
Possess a logical fault-finding approach to breakdowns.
Be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Demonstrate a sense of urgency whilst never compromising safety or product quality.
Experience in Industrial services systems and statutory compliance such as LOLER, PUWER, Legionella, PSSR etc.
Capital investment projects management in food industry.
Determination of methods to minimize the likelihood of injuries or damages to people and/or equipment (SH&E).
