About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely completion of batch production records
- Supervise production employees, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed effectively and staffing positions are appropriately covered
- Proactively identify and communicate equipment, material, or production issues to management
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by educating and guiding employees on the proper use of equipment, resources, and established control procedures
- Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Address employee concerns and performance issues by gathering information, investigating root causes, and implementing appropriate solutions
- Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure team members are properly trained and consistently following them
- Ensure manufacturing and packaging operations comply with all food safety, quality, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements, as well as HACCP, NSF, and SQF standards
- Maintain expertise in GMP requirements and ensure all production personnel adhere to established processes and procedures
- Foster a collaborative, productive, and team-oriented work environment while supporting departmental goals and objectives
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is required
- Strong understanding of quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material flow processes
- Highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Ability to lift and move 15–20 pound boxes on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including occasional weekends, as business needs require
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Vietnamese is required to effectively support and communicate with a diverse production workforce.
