About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide process engineering support to the factory in capital project execution and process line support
- Follow up investigation using root cause analysis tools such as GSTD or DMAIC on process related issues
- Provide resolution of process line quality deviations through formal requests such as ODIR, process deviations, and NCR’s
- Investigation feasibility and scope analysis to determine potential operational improvements
- Independently develop and design process systems for manufacturing of food products
- Conduct budget estimation, planning, and execution of projects
- Develop and implement project descriptions, plans, timelines, resources requirements, costs and other associated project details
- Mentor young process and project engineers during project development and execution
- Prepare factory master plan and CAPEX submittal documents & Inter-departmental alignment
- Participate and contribute to cross functional improvement teams
- Train maintenance and production employees on documentation and equipment operation for newly installed projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation in a manufacturing plant environment
- 5 years of experience in a food, dairy, or pharmaceutical environment
- 5 years of experience in project management and contractor management
- Working with Microsoft Word, Project and Excel
- Experience in SAP and AutoCAD
- Working with QMS, HACCP, and SOP's
- Experience in heat and mass balance calculations, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics in process design
- Experience in design and operation of CIP and dairy processing
- Experience testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and process improvements in liquid or powder food processing equipment
