About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage daily import and export shipments across all modes (ocean, air, ground, parcel)
Coordinate bookings with freight forwarders, Customs Brokers, carriers, and logistics service providers
Track shipments end-to-end and ensure timely movement and delivery
Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, logistics providers, internal stakeholders, and customers
Communicate shipping requirements and instructions to international suppliers
Prepare, review, and manage all required international shipping documentation
Ensure compliance with all applicable import/export regulations
Negotiate rates and service agreements across air, ocean, and ground transportation
Troubleshoot shipment delays, customs holds, and documentation issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Logistics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of experience in import/export logistics operations
Experience in a small or mid-sized operation with hands-on responsibility strongly preferred
Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies
Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations (CBP, FDA, USDA, etc.)
HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin rules
Incoterms
Customs entry processes and duty programs
AES filing, ISF requirements
Free Trade Agreements
Hazardous materials regulations (49 CFR, IATA, IMDG) preferred
