Manufacturing Engineering Technician

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for all technical matters on shift across the factory area.
- Drive improvements in the performance of machinery and assets.
- Technically support the shift leader and develop technical skills within engineering and operational teams.
- Provide technical support to Engineering and Shift Management Teams.
- Problem solve and perform efficient reactive maintenance in breakdown situations.
- Drive the use of breakdown analysis to continuously improve asset intensity.
- Complete planned/scheduled maintenance activities in line with factory KPIs.
- Support the AMM strategy by seeking opportunities to improve planned maintenance activities and preventative maintenance plans.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience working within a Manufacturing environment.
- Engineering knowledge across maintenance, industrial services, and automation.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3/City & Guilds and/or equivalent time served apprenticeship.
- Ideally multi-skilled, but single skills will also be considered.
- Experience on clarifiers, pumps, and valves will be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to deliver compliance in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Support the development of operational teams.
- Strong fault-finding skills and proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
