About the role
- Provide legal and compliance advice and partner the business to provide solutions to issues while managing legal and compliance risks
- Provide prompt and competent support to Director, Legal
- Reviews, designs, proposes, implements, and/or audits data protection and privacy matters, practices and documentation
- Works with legal team and functional/business data protection champions
- Create awareness by producing and conducting training and other awareness activities
- Ensure that the data register, consent registers and all other requirements are up to date and compliant
- To work closely with the IT department and HQ Compliance
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in a good law firm/established company
- A good degree from a recognized university
- Being called to the bar in a commonwealth jurisdiction similar to Singapore’s legal system would be an advantage
- Preferably has data protection background experience for Singapore
- Competition law, GDPR and IT knowledge is a bonus
- Relevant FMCG experience would be an advantage
