About the role
- Serve as the critical technical leader and subject matter expert responsible for the design, development and optimization of end-to-end systems in the production of wet and dry pet foods, pet treats and cat litter
- Lead the planning, execution and coordination of complex packaging engineering functions across multiple capital projects
- Provide detailed packaging design and engineering support throughout the lifecycle of capital initiatives
- Champion seamless design integration with broader project goals
- Evaluate vendor proposals and direct third-party engineering firms and other external partners to ensure design excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 7+ years of experience in packaging systems design and project execution in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment OR Associate’s degree in applicable technical discipline with 10+ years of experience in packaging systems design and project execution in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
- Must be willing to travel approximately 30% or more to meet business needs
